The Alliance francaise centre in Daejeon was created in Yongmun in 1985. As a non-profit making school that offers French language and civilisation courses, Alliance française caters for learners with cultural, professional or touristic interests.
  Alliance française de Daejeon boasts over 1,000 registrations every year and stands as the unquestionable landmark for the teaching of French as a foreign language in the region.
Alliance française de Daejeon is governed by local law and has signed an agreement with the Foundation Alliance française in Paris and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
  Under the aegis of the Embassy of France in Korea, Alliance française de Daejeon organises sessions of internationally recognised examinations and tests of French as a foreign language from the French Ministry of National Education (DELF, DALF and TCF). 
In Yongmun area, Alliance française de Daejeon is conveniently located in a small six-storey building close to Yongmun Metro Station (Exit 1). It is close to Lotte Department Store.
The building has a surface area of 200 m² and comprises a reception area, 5 classrooms, 2 equipped with interactive white-boards, and a media library.
